Youth Sports

The City of Amsterdam offers many extracurricular youth sports programs, including football, cheerleading, baseball, girls softball, and youth soccer. To Join, contact the program directors for each sport, coaches are always needed, so please volunteer.

Amsterdam Recreation Basketball League

This league operates 2 divisions, the boy's division, and the girls' division. The league is open to boys and girls in grades 1st - 8th grade and the Mini Ballers is open to children in pre-k and kindergarten. Games are played at the Bacon Gym.

This 100% volunteer organization started in 1990 with 60 kids and now has grown to over 400 kids! The club has both a recreational league and a travel league.
