More… The mission of the Veteran's Park Volunteers will be crime-watch in nature. We will ask them to be on the lookout for bad or suspicious behavior and potential violations of noise and parking ordinances, which they’d report to the Amsterdam Police Department for follow-up. They may also be asked to help out at events, participate in litter control missions and perhaps even man a booth at the park for organizations who wish to fund-raise for Park enhancements. Volunteers will not be expected to attempt any direct enforcement actions of any kind with individuals who they feel may be causing disturbances or violating City ordinances.Less…
